Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Foosball.live ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our services (together, the "Services"):
- Foosball Live — our mobile app for iOS and Android (com.raleighfoosball.app)
- foosball.live — our website and broadcast overlays
The short version: we collect only what we need to run leagues, tournaments, and stats, plus basic usage analytics to improve the app. We don't sell your data, and we don't show third-party advertising.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account you provide an email address and a password, or sign in with Google. If you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. You may also set a display name and optionally upload a profile photo from your device's photo library.
Gameplay and tournament data
The Services record match results, scores, rankings, standings, and statistics tied to your player profile. This is the core purpose of the product.
Note that gameplay data is public. Your display name, match results, stats, standings, and rankings may be visible to other users, shown on venue displays, published on the website, and included in live broadcast overlays and streams (e.g., on YouTube or Twitch) as part of tournament coverage.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications (e.g., match alerts and tournament updates), we collect a device push token so we can deliver them. Notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Usage analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used — for example, which screens and features are used, session length, app version, device type, operating system, and general region. This data is tied to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name or email, and we use it only in aggregate to improve the app. You can read about how Google processes this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Technical information
Like most services, our servers and hosting providers automatically log basic technical data such as IP address, device/browser type, and timestamps for security and reliability. The mobile app stores your sign-in session securely on your device. We do not use advertising SDKs in the app.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you
- To run tournaments and leagues: record matches, calculate stats, rankings, and standings
- To display results on leaderboards, venue screens, the website, and broadcast overlays
- To send push notifications you've opted into, such as match-ready alerts
- To understand how the app is used in aggregate so we can improve it
- To keep the Services secure and working (debugging, abuse prevention)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Service providers
We share data only with the infrastructure providers that make the Services work:

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Match results and tournament records are part of the historical league record and are retained to keep standings and stats accurate.
You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing raleighfoosball@gmail.com. We will delete your account information and profile photo. Match results may be retained in anonymized form (with your name removed) so that historical tournament records remain consistent for other players.
5. Your choices
- Push notifications — turn them off anytime in the app or in your device settings.
- Profile photo — optional; you can remove or replace it in the app.
- Access and correction — email us to access, correct, or delete your data. Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional statutory rights; we honor these requests regardless of location.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in sessions are stored in your device's secure storage. Access to production data is limited. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.
7. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at this address. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the website.
